Students are recruited on the basis of their academic record and are granted the status of "normalien-ne-étudiant-e". This status offers the same training and educational support as for students, except that they are not remunerated during their studies and are therefore not subject to the ten-year commitment.
Target audience
The ARÉco diploma is open to a wide range of students in the basic sciences, engineering sciences and the humanities and social sciences, as well as graduates of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, ENS Paris-Saclay students and students from a variety of educational backgrounds (universities, engineering schools, higher education establishments, etc.). It is a one-year course designed to complement disciplinary expertise with a skill in Science for Ecological Transitions, for students at Master 1 or Master 2 level. It is also open to continuing education students. As part of the ENS Paris Saclay diploma, it contributes to the thematic research pathway in Sciences for Ecological Transitions. It is offered in the 3rd year and enables students to validate at least the multidisciplinary and research skills.
